World Cup tickets - Where to sit at the 2010 World Cup

What will England do under boss Fabio Capello and can Marcello Lippi retain the title for Italy as world champions? People give an arm and a leg to get a chance to grab a ticket to see a match during the competition between the top footballing nations around the world. The 2010 competition is to be held in South Africa and there will be three million tickets available. One third of these will go to South African fans, a third to international fans and the final third is to be distributed between FIFA family, teams and sponsors. Getting your hands on a ticket will be hard work as demand will always be greater than the supply.

Getting World Cup tickets is a feat in itself but knowing where to get a seat will stand you in better stead for getting a great view of the game. Category 1 seats will be located along the straight section between the two goals and run the length of the pitch and will give you a view of the whole pitch and will by far the best place to catch the match from. Category 2 is situated next to Category 1 and is inevitably the second best choice. Category 3 and 4 seats can be found behind the goals and in the corners of the stadium. The most costly tickets are category 1 and the cheapest are category 4 but if you are lucky enough to get a ticket, maybe you shouldn't worry too much about where you sit!
